About Us

Who We Are

Does your child have difficulty eating a variety of foods causing stress at mealtimes or are they struggling to communicate?

Are you a professional looking to educate yourself and the families you serve on building varied diets, strong communication skills, and learn how these two are the basis of so many aspects of child development?

We’re here to help!

Hello, Chelsea and Lauren here! We are certified speech-language pathologists who have been practicing since 2015 and 2016 respectively. We have worked in many different pediatric settings and have served diverse populations in both the feeding and communication realms.

From literacy groups to learning to swallow; speech sound disorders to starting solid foods; resonance disorders to radiology swallow studies and everything in between, we have likely done it!

This powerhouse duo started back in 2013 at Marshall University. We met in graduate school and ran an afterschool program together where we served meals and provided educational activities to children ages 3-18 in a government housing community. The impact this place had on our lives – personally and professionally – as well as our deeply connected friendship, will remain in our hearts forever.

Since our time together at “The Center”, we have been seeking that type of fulfillment. While we find great joy in our careers, private practice, and serving families in their most natural environments, we still felt something missing. We connected that missing piece by deciding to share our knowledge and skills on a larger scale. Our focus and goal is to educate and empower more clinicians and caregivers, because we hear “If only I had known…” or “I wish I would have known…” so often.

So, we hope you find what you are looking for here – a mix of evidence-based research, nearly 20 combined years of professional experience, and some behind the scenes parenting real talk. Our content is sure to provide all three – and more!
